AltayX Modular Drone System

The AltayX Modular Drone System is being developed so that different cameras, sensors and mission equipment can be used on a shared aerial platform. The equipment bay under the body and the tall landing gear are design elements that support fitting different mission modules.

Target use cases for the platform include facility inspection, agricultural observation, environmental data collection and land imaging. The mechanical mounting, power needs and data communication of the equipment chosen for each purpose are evaluated together.

The aim of the modular approach is to keep the core platform while changing mission equipment and adapting to new hardware. Each module's compatibility with the platform and its effect on flight will be evaluated separately to define its scope of use.
